The questions are as follows...
- Is the shopping cart yours or the payment processors?
(matching look and feel is important to most sites.)
(features of the cart can't be changed if it isn't yours)
- What are the transaction fees?
(fixed and percentage fees)
- What are the monthly service fees?
(rental, gateway, statement fees, etc.)
- What type of contract is required?
(are you locked in for three years or what?)
- Sign up fees.
- Volume restrictions and requirements.
- NOTE: Reserve fees... conditions on chargebacks... read careful.
When you get all that information you are ready to start making a decision.
