Yes, we had similar problems.

to_date('#Dateformat(Now(),'mm/dd/yyyy')#
#TimeFormat(Now(),'HH:mm:ss')#', 'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS')
to_char(fieldname, 'YYYY/MM/DD HH24:MI:SS') AS datefield

was our prefered solution. But now i will try the other solutions with
all drivers (Merant JDBC, Oracle JDBC and ODBC)
