Give TopStyle Pro a shot.  I'm giving it a serious trial by not using Homesite+ to do my web development for as long as possible.  I already use it for CSS work, but I'm now testing the HTML editing tools.   There is very little TSP can't do that HS+ did, but hopefully, Nick Bradbury will add those items to a future version of TSP.  Until then, I found that I can do without certain HS+ features.  If you can't live without Function Insight, then TSP may not be for you.   I, too, tried DW, but I couldn't get the keyboard shortcuts to work the way I wanted them, either.   Performance was an issue with DW, as well.  On my 2ghz box, it takes DW about 19 seconds to start.  TSP starts in about 3 seconds.   BTW, if anyone wants to use TSP for CF development, I have the HTML defs (for tag insight) that include CFMX tags.   www.bradsoft.com/   M!ke   From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jeff Battershall Sent: Monday, January 26, 2004 3:34 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [CFCDev] Off topic: Dreamweaver MX 2004 (rant) I've had a very hard time getting comfortable with DWMX and I've tried on more than one occassion to incorporate it into my development procedures.  There are so many things about the way that HomeSite+ works that I simply prefer and there's not an intuitively implemented equivalent item in DW to match.  For example, I simply gave up on keyboard shortcuts.  It's just too easy in Homesite.  Why does it have to be so counter-intuitive in DW (at least for me)?   I know MM would love Homesite to go by the boards, but there's a difference in philosophical approach to the two products that DW just doesn't "get".  A wish list item?  How about re-thinking it substantially from the ground up or simply not trying to make a product that is "all things to all people"?  Wasn't that the Edsel?   Jeff Battershall -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Schreck, Thomas (PPC) Sent: Monday, January 26, 2004 2:43 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [CFCDev] Off topic: Dreamweaver MX 2004 (rant) I’m trying to like Dreamweaver, really.  I’m on my 3rd attempt to use it on a daily basis.  I must admit I’ve been very slow in letting go of Studio, but since change is the one constant in life…  Anyways, is there a way for Dreamweaver MX 2004 to display the full path of the file I have loaded in the IDE?  I’ve loaded a file from my local machine and the same one from production, however, in the title bar I get the folder/file name which happens to be the same for both files instead of the full path.   Also, I’ve noticed a behavior that’s irritating.  If I have a number of files open in Dreamweaver and happen to close one in the middle of the pack, the last file open receives focus.  In Studio, the file next to the one I close receives focus.  On the surface, this seems like a very minor detail, however, when working in an environment like fusebox where there’s a progression of files that are called to render a page, I open those files up in the progression they are called.  It’s somewhat irritating to have dreamweaver change focus.  Anyways, thanks for your help on an off topic.     Tom Schreck
