Subject: RE: [CFCDev] Asynchronous Method Invocation

If you don't need the results of the method invocation. You could use
CFHTTP with timeout of 0 to make a call to a page that launches that
method. Timeout of 0 causes it to run the page and not wait for results.
This would in affect bedoing what CF Scheduler does anyway. But you
would have your own controls on when something runs. You might even be
able to invoke a web service with a timeout of 0 might have the same
affect as with CFHTTP (I have not tested invoke with a timeout of 0).
