First, you don't necessarily have to grab the content key out of the
request scope, you could place the into the event as an event argument,
and get to it in your views using getArg().  And I wouldn't see a
problem with having a listener that acts as a presentationManager which
could handle formatting XML or other layout decisions, etc.
