II do have a bullet under the "Optional" practices that talks about 
making
variables.instance (or, as some people prefer, variables.my) to hold
instance data -- is that what you mean?  Or, do you mean the cloning 
stuff
specifically?

I am suggesting that you should point out how the above practice makes 
cloning very easy.
