Surprisingly, we both live in Bellingham, the largest town in the county (at an astonishing 60,000 people or so). I suppose I should have given a little more detail in the message, so here we go:
Whatcom county is the north-most coastal county in the state of Washington. It's northern border is with British Columbia, Canada. Bellingham is the largest city, and is approximately 85 miles north of downtown Seattle. Primarily a agricultural county, there is a pretty decent tech business in Bellinham, helped in no small part by overflow from Seattle.
