Thanks for your feedback.

Did you know that BlueDragon 6.1 already supports source-less (compiled) deployment, and deployment in standard WAR files? So we've already got 2-out-of-3 of your requirements covered--no need to wait until 2005. (BTW, BlueDragon has had these features for almost two years now, and are two of the key reasons people choose BlueDragon).

Subject: Re: [CFCDev] Invoking CFCs from Java

Hi,

We have a CMS and we use custom tags to wrap calls to our CFCs services
(contentmanagement, workflow, caching etc).

A direct call from a jsp tag library to a CFC would enable us to deploy our API directly to
the whole Java community without having to re-write one single line of code.
This is one of the most exciting features of Blackstone, with the ability
to distribute compiled java code and to distribute CF and my apps as a WAR file.

For an ISV, its a must.

Again looking at the Blackstone feature set, I noticed "invoking CFCs from
Java". How important is this feature? I'm curious because we have a
preliminary implementation for BlueDragon that we withheld from BD 6.1 due
to time constraints. We could probably deliver it in BD 6.2 if enough people
were interested.
