If the CFC you want to use as the return type is in the same directory, you can just use the component name. But if it is anywhere else, you'll need to use the full component path.

When I set a component as a returntype in cffunction, do I need to set the fully qualified path as "com.components.person" or should I just use the name of the component "person"? I have tried using both and sometimes just using the name of the component works other times I have to use a fully qualified path to make it work. I am having problems seeing the connection/problem here and knowing when to use what. Can somebody clarify this to me? cheers ---------------------------------------------------------- You are subscribed to cfcdev.
