Sorry, I confused XQuery and XUpdate. Xindice uses XPath & XUpdate. I'm sure you could find an OS XQuery engine out there somewhere.

I haven't heard of any plans to include XQuery support in CFMX. I've been playing around with Xindice (a "native" XML database) and CFMX a lot lately, and Xindice uses XQuery for it's inserts/updates/deletes. Here's a blog posting about it: http://www.d-ross.org/index.cfm?objectid=D7692636-508B-E116-6F0BC2777ED5EC8D -Dave >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 7/26/2004 10:46:07 AM >>> Any of you "java" gurus know if the J2EE supports XMLQuery... would love to see that added to CF... or a solution to use it. XPath is nice... but been looking at XMLQuery and it looks like there would be some excellent niche applications for that.
