I've not used it, but I know there's a setting in the WEB-INF/jrun-web.xml file called <reload> which is set to false by default. Just set that to true, and I believe MX will reload for you without restarting. I know this is highly discouraged to do in a production environment for performance reasons, but I imagine it would help a lot in development.
