Dare I chimed in here? Anyways, if I'm reading everything correctly
(I've been a pasive participant in this discussion - reading from a far)
- I agree with barney on this one. I always validate everything before
sending it off to my business objects. I then can safely assume that
all data goint to the BO is valid and I don't have to worry about it any
more unless I don't code in my validation before - which I never plan to
do. Although, I don't work with getter/setters usually to store usr
specific info in a component. The current application I'm working on
has to be cluster safe. Although MX/J2EE will do session replications
however it won't replicate a component stored in the sesssion scope
which is a real downer. That's why I'm using application scoped
instantiated component that are thread safe...enough on making a fool of
myself on CFC Dev.
