You want to do that as a way to prevent CFCs from being accessed? I don't think application.cfm is executed when accessing CFCs locally, so it won't be protection for code running on the machine. As far as protecting from remote execution, I've never tried this approach.

While that may solve your immediate error, I don't know if I'd recommend it for long-term use.

  I prefer to store my CFCs in a non-web accessible directory; and refer to
them based on a mapping name.
