This looks really interesting. Have you read it Phil? I've been using the
J2EE patterns book to learn patterns for CF because of the obvious
similarities and I have a "patterns for C#" book which is also a decent
reference. Unfortunately there aren't any ColdFusion patterns books that I
know of, but I have a feeling there will be in the future. Patterns are
definitely something that I rely on heavily to keep group development and
scalability in check.

Anyone read "Holub on Patterns: Learning Design Patterns by Looking at Code"
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/159059388X/002-2787398-1815200

Sounds like it takes a different approach to discussing patterns.

>The existing books on design patterns take a "catalog" approach,
where they show the >individual design patterns in isolation. This
approach is fundamentally flawed because you >can't see how the design
patterns actually function in the real world. Most programmers learn
>by looking at computer programs.

>Holub on Patterns: Learning Design Patterns by Looking at Code
teaches you design >patterns in exactly this way: by looking at
computer programs and analyzing them in terms >of the patterns that
they use. Consequently, you learn how the patterns actually occur in
the >real world and how to apply the patterns to solve real problems.
