Hey guys - I started this conversation with Spike yesterday, but didn't get to finish it, as I had to go out.
Situation like this - You have a DAO for your BOs. You have BOPool that stores your business objects so they can be reused. Your DAO and BOPool actually know nothing about each other, so each time you need to get a BO, you have to query the BOPool, see if the object is in there, if it is grab it, if it's not, go to the DAO. So I'm thinking there should be another Object that knows about both the DAO and the BOPool, that handles this sort of transaction. What is that thing called? A Facade? Manager maybe? A Pattern I don't know about? What do you guys think?
