I think you would just use the mid function although I've never tried it on a query of a query. Sorry for the off-topic, guys, but I can't find the answer anywhere. Does anyone know if it's possible to do a SUBSTRING (or any way to grab a chink of a string) in Query Of Queries? Here's what I'm trying to do: <cfquery dbtype="query" name="qryFiles"> SELECT SUBSTRING(name, 15, 4) AS year, SUBSTRING(name, 13, 2) AS month FROM qryFiles </cfquery> I see that SUBSTRING is a reserved word in QoQ, but the function doesn't work, and I can't find anything in the CF7 docs about it!
