I've seen this issue b4.  Sometimes its immediate too.  Its wierd.  Sometimes I'll stop/start an instance or update something in an instance, when the screen redraws, I click on an something and bamm, I'm at the login screen.  I have not had the patience or time to figure out a reproducible case though.

I don't think they want you tinkering around too much with the admin
server's own settings. I wouldn't be too surprised to run into these sorts
of issues when you package your own CFMX 7 apps up as WAR or EAR files,
either.
