Again, I just don't get this negativity about Flex's future. What would Adobe promote in place of Flex? RIA IS the future, and Microsoft is betting on it big time with Longhorn. If anything, Adobe/Macromedia is planning to compete head-to-head with Redmond in the RIA space and Flex/Flash is an obvious way to do it. Increased budget and development resources could vault Flex into a higher echelon as an enterprise solution.
