Although my initial reaction to block all attachments was negative, it probably is best.  I have received some interesting (good) attachments that are CFCs, PDFS, etc.  However, unless solicited - sending attachments are not the best etiquette for listserves.  However, I'll support whatever decision you and Ray decide upon as attachments are infrequent on this list and nobody could say that attachments are out of control.
