It's not a memory leak. In ColdFusion MX 6.0, components shared the same
"variables" scope as the calling template, similar to the way a function
shares the "variables" scope of the calling template unless the "var"
keyword is used. The behavior, as it pertains to components, only existed in
ColdFusion MX 6.0. It was fixed/corrected/changed/whatever in ColdFusion MX
6.1. Now if they would just do the same thing for functions....
