You just want application-specific mappings, not namespaces J  That’s a very commonly request ER for CF.

Heh - yeah, and fair call on that one.

But we got asked what we could have in an ideal world - so I answered with what I would love to have in an ideal world.

Obviously alot of this stuff would never ever happen (as if static methods and variables would actually happen???), but I like it, so I put it in there.

I still stand by namespaces - i.e. some form of either
a) programmable mapping
b) an Application specific location where CFC's reside

so that when you wish to reuse CFC libraries, you can pretty much drag and drop them into another application without having to worry about naming issues with either mapping names changing and/or directory structures from root changing (which I've complained about more times than I care to think about, so I won't start again now)

Essentially I want to know that com.mark.io.FileReader in one project can be brought into another project as com.mark.io.FileReader without having to worry about changing all my typing in a whole slew of CFCs that use it (theoretical example)
