I can't see what the grief is about issuing a warning...
Andrew, we use variables for pathnames just like you. I can't see it being a
big deal...comes with the teritory.
I remember the borland c compiler generating reams of warnings that I promply
ignored before handing in my assignment apps...
the warnings remind me of Pirates of the Carabian and "The Pirate Code"
("Arr, there more guidelines than a Code")
perhaps a "set strict warnings off" when running it for all those afraid to
look?
