And Martin Fowler's definition isn't doing anything for me. :) The point that i'm trying to make is that i've found it makes sense to me to differentiate between the 2 because they tend to occupy different functional areas in the model / application. Why load a large dao with lots of functions for a front end view when all i need is a simple select statement? More lightweight does a lot for me. For instance, hopefully it helps to keep me from bringing another server online and needing an enterprise version of CFMX7 to handle the load balancing.
