[CFCDev] return type

How do you handle the situation where you have a function that returns a numeric value and sometimes that numeric value is a null?  Setting returntype=numeric in the <cffunction> blows a fuse.  Do you typically set the return type to string or any?  If so, does this not introduce a data integrity problem?   Thanks - Tom ---------------------------------------------------------- You are subscribed to cfcdev.
