heh...mark this day. dave and I publicly agree :) Sean isn't on these mailing lists as a macromedia rep (as i understand it, that's Christian's job). He's just as free to speak his mind as any of us, and it really needs to be noted that those opinions are his...not a reflection of MM.
I'll also say that I don't think there's anything wrong with any of these "debates". have they been discussed before? probably, sure. Do the lists get new people regularly? yes. Yeah, we all know "search the archives" and all that...but somebody might have something new to add. If a thread doesn't interest you, it's easy enough to skip over it. As long as the debates don't turn into personal attacks, and the list owners don't deem them too far off topic, I say let 'em be. Don't want to read 'em? skip it. I read about 20% of the cf-talk emails that i receive. The value of those 20% make it worth receiving the other 80%, even if they're just sent directly to the trash. My $0.02.
