So you need to pull the data up and display it or act on the rating (like updating it)?
If you have CF7 Enterprise you can use Async Gateways but not necessarily
the best solution. If you're trying to load date for display to the user,
you could load the normal page with text that says "loading" in a portion
of the page. You can then use AJAX to call a template that will return the
data in XML format. When the data is return you would populate the display
with the data.
I'll let somebody else answer the clustered environment issue since I don't
think there is a 'best' way.

Hi all,
I need to implement asynchronous process for a small piece on our website.
It's rating system where the web site needs to pull in previous rating of
the user. We have almost 300K records in the database and it affects the
performance. How should I best implement it so that the request doesn't
have to wait for this process to finish before it can move forward?
One more thing. What is the best way to manage Sessions in a clustered
environment?
Thanks
