Hello,

We are looking for suggestions on how to get the <cfprocessingdirective suppresswhitespace=”Yes”> tag working in our Application.cfc. This Application.cfc sits in the folder of an application that generates MS Word documents from XML. When we open the generated word document, the error we get says that the XML declaration should be the first line on the page. We tried putting cfproccessingdirective tags on every page within the application, but that wouldn’t work either.  However, if we replace the Application.cfc with an Application.cfm, we can open the generated word documents just fine.  The only code in the Application.cfm is the cfprocessingdirective tags surrounding cfsets of the datasource values. We would like to get this to work with the Application.cfc (which extends the parents Application.cfc) because of the authorization code tied in to the Application.cfc. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob
