yes but typically only with CFM files that generate XML - the XML comes back malformed due to the appended dubugging output.
of course, this only is a problem if cfsetting showdebugoutput is set to true as well. I don't know if that has any bearing on the app your looking at - but it is the only time debugging has caused an app to not work for me.
