No metrics here (you'd always be comparing apples to oranges anyway, so i
don't know what value that would have) - as i left CF5 a long time ago, but
i can't imagine doing the same things i'm doing in CFMX6.1 / 7 in CF5
without a significant _decrease_ in performance. CFMX is compiled into Java,
and when you build an app using CFC's and OOP in a well architected way,
performance considerations should of course be part of the design. Under the
hood, those compiled Java classes seem to work very efficiently together.

Of course, someone can design a very poorly performing app as well.

One thing to keep in mind is that the debugging output can be very
misleading when using CFC's. The debugging template itself takes time, a lot
of it in the case of CFC's, to calculate it's output. Most people developing
with CFC's turn it off.
