I think that error in the other cfc related to this. It passes that
stateEvent variable into it and it doesn't like that scope.
<cfinvoke component="#getWizardEventHandler()#"
method="#stateEvents.currentEvent#">
<cfinvokeargument name="event"
value="#arguments.event#">
<cfinvokeargument name="stateEvents"
value="#stateEvents#">
</cfinvoke>

Thanks for suggestions everyone .. I may have deeper issues with this stuff.
<cfset var stateEvents = getStateEvents(arguments.event) /> caused an error
in the FunctionLoaded.cfc way up the maze of objects.
I also tried
<cfset var stateEvents = "" />
<cfset var stateEvents = getStateEvents(arguments.event) />
Same issue.

| I did add
|
| <cfset variables.stateEvents = getStateEvents(arguments.event) />
|
| Didn't seem to help
Try <cfset var stateEvents ... />
