Very true words Adam, thanks.

I think it's more of a personal goal to understand these things and by
no means do I want to turn around and say to the team "Today we're
going to learn Fusebox, ColdSpring, Factories, DAO, Services and
Gateways" as I'd fully expect that switch off. Instead I'm now getting
to stage where I've done a couple of framwork projects (x1 at work and
x2 personal projects) so I now want to know where I should take
things.

I feel that if I'm one step ahead then it should give me the
confidence that I can talk about the subject to length. My issue is
that I don't want to give misinformtion by saying that my way is
recognised as good practice when I'm actually way off.

To be honest I'll look forward to other members in the team getting
into frameworking as it will give me someone to bounce my ideas off :-)
