That's what I was afraid of. :-/ We don't want to be bug for bug compatible with MSVC, and this is their bug. But then again, this is preventing us from compiling standard headers for VS 2012, so we need to do something about it... I guess I would be most comfortable if we tied this to the version of MSVC we're trying to compile for (a la the _MSC_VER macro) so in the event of Microsoft fixing the bug, we can stop supporting the behavior at some point. Aside from that, the patch LGTM.
