steakhal added a comment. @usaxena95 @ilya-biryukov, @hans, I wonder if we should backport this change to `release/16.x`. Otherwise, clang-16 won't have this fix. WDYT? I'm also a bit worried that we don't have tests. And that we have "unexpected" sideeffects like what you mentioned @hans.
Given all these, I would probably vote for not backporting this, but this is the chance if we want.
