I agree with the reasoning. Can you update the documentation in
clang/docs/UndefinedBehaviorSanitizer.rst to include C and state the known
limitation. After D148573 <https://reviews.llvm.org/D148573> it says:
- ``-fsanitize=function``: Indirect call of a function through a
function pointer of the wrong type (C++ only).
