Perhaps this is worth discussing w/ the psABI? I'm not sure that's a great fit, but its at least a body of people who care about ABI and are thinking about how the ecosystem should interact/evolve. The idea of TLSDESC being the only supported ABI was raised previously, but I think that ship may have sailed by this point.
