Hello, The way I understand it, is if you open new browser windows by going to "file > new window" or ctrl+n, then whatever session variables exist for the original browser window will carry through to the new ones. But if the user actually goes to the browsers .exe - like re-launches another instance of the browser, then the session variables from the other browser window do not get passed to it.
