If you are interested in using SVN, you might be interested also in TRAC: GPL-ed integrated source code archive, bug/ticket tracking, and wiki. Really integrated, commit message "fixied bug #123" will close it in bug tracker, code diff can link to bug description, comment in bug tracker can link to wiki page, and back. Pretty neat as free software goes.

Wow. Very nice.

Warning: it's in python.
I am sorry nothing fully integrated like this is available in perl, AFAIK.

There are some CVS to BZ projects out there. We're highly committed to bugzilla even though I've found getting the core devs to make decisions on the right way to fix a bug can make me want to punt cute puppies. ;) Beyond that we've been very pleased with the features, ease of installation and upgrades and scalability of bugzilla. Other issue trackers tend to be weak in features or not scalable. But Trac is certainly nice looking and seems to have most of the feature we're using. Sadly its based on SQLite which is not scalable, which probably doesn't support replication, so performance, scalability, and reliability seem weak. Their FAQ says that MySQL support is forthcoming, but who knows when that'll happen. But I'm going to bring Trac to the BZ guys attention and see how far I get. We may have to start a new project to do Trac in Perl.

My next svn project is to get an off site archive going. After that I'm going to look for and if necessary write my own svn2bz integration. Having a wiki integrated would be nice, but that's much further down my list.

There are two ways of constructing a software design. One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies. And the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies.
