This is excellent, and perfect timing for me. I have been adding some debugging information to the TT plugin that allows you to view all of the parameters that were sent to the template in a popup. This means that there is a framework for me to work with so it simplifies things greatly. I will most likely add support directly into the TT plugin, and if it sees that the DevPopup plugin is loaded, it will automatically add its debugging info in.
