I would agree here just to have an n=2.  Not much to add other than to point 
out that these javascript libraries are simply text files at their most base 
level.  I have found it useful to look at the code and to try to reproduce 
some of the simpler stuff myself, just for instructional purposes.  I am NOT 
a javascript guru (or probably even a novice), but when I started looking at 
javascript it was helpful to not just use a library but to look at it for 
learning purposes.
