It turned out to be an output buffering problem.  It's strange,
because once I fixed the query it worked just fine.

The query doesn't happen until after I invoke the ->run() method from
my CGI instance script, but the debugging output between my cgiapp
object instantiation and my invokation of run() doesn't show up until
after the query returns.  Then I still had a long wait before the page
was served up.

In any case, it's working now.
