Thank you for this open letter, it expresses fully - and above this even in polite terms - my own dissatisfaction. What started out as an interesting set of applications for becoming aware of one's own perception of others and for creating a reality-based reputation for each other is rapidly turning into a real annoyance. The mechanism by which an application should spread is by recommendation and genuine invitation, not by spreading its seeds undirected and unqualified like the common flu. It is absolutely unacceptable if an application behaves in a way that brings a user in the embarassing situation that they have to appologize to their friends for having pestered them unwittingly, just by testing out for themselves how this application might work and whether they want to use it.
To the developers: Please keep in mind that not everybody spends all their life on facebook and is always totally familiar with the latest I-want-to- spread-myself t(r)ick of each and every application. Come on, put people first and let them decide whether your little brain-child is worth propagating or whether they rather want to wait till you have taught it good manners. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Chainn" group.
