I wonder as well about the actual use of this application. The choice want/want not to date a person does not create any realistic picture. And then, what does it mean? There are lots of people who I think are interesting to meet, but I wouldn't "date" them, because of a variety of reasons. There are, on the other hand, people I might want to date, if I knew they were free and who I definitely would not date, knowing that they are not free. So, if I would answer the question just for myself, I would make quite different choices than while knowing that my answers potentially effect others.
The developers could, for example give the option of answering the dating question in private (and then have the possibility to change the answer as often as desired in order to make up one's own mind). This way one might get a chance to see several profile pictures (over time) of a person and watch them for a while before making any authentic decision whether one would like to meet them or not. Once one has made up one's mind there could be the alternatively option to make one's final answer available to the application at large and thus engage in some real-world social interaction. The way things are now they have become a mindless exercise of clicking through pictures. It is becoming more of a bother than offering any useful service. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Chainn" group.
