I assess this notion of 'global trust' is paramount, not one of us can survive living in distrust. It is creating severe mental illness in our global culture. We are living in a moment of human history when the historic paradigm we all belong to is breaking down in the domains of; family, religion, politics, work, education, commerce and cultural traditions. We are experiencing a predatory distrust in the way we see and the chaos of confusion, distrust and complexity in every domain of our living.
Authentic trust is created when we share honest character assessments with one another in social relationship, what we distrust about each other. My friends are a conversational network of intimate vulnerable conservations conserving the heart of social relationships I belong to, not power! I do not care for this notion of using social relationships for power, control and appropriation of position, goods and services. This is the deadening reductionist nightmare of current technological cultural platform designs. I am willing to play in this Circle of Trust game on Face Book because it is a reflection on the meaning of trust within my network of friendships. The notion of political power is an emotional contradiction yet everything is currently designed for power even Face book as a social networking platform. What a shame? Global Trust will never arise in political power in my assessment only through honest authentic assessments moment-to-moment with one another as a new standard practice in living. I see friendship as a domain of social relations where there is legitimacy-in-coexistence in sharing authentic assessments that constitute the notion of trust, itself, for no other reason then conserving trust is social relations. Real friends are honest and never use the relationship for political power, that act immediately breaks the social relationship and political power arises. Authentic trust cares, feeds and nourishes the heart-felt-senses and love of social relations not power, exclusion and appropriation. Authentic trust is vulnerable and wants to listen to what you distrust about me, not trust me for political power.
