alpha2 ------ We entered alpha2 feature freeze on Tuesday. Only actual bug fixes with code reviews allowed until alpha2, which is due May 11. checkpoint ---------- Bear created Checkpoint_0.7alpha2.dev-r10508-20060501. Dan's test report at http://wiki.osafoundation.org/bin/view/Journal/DanSteinicke20060502r10508 code changes ------------ Alec improved the CATS framework to make writing tests easier. He also refactored scripting support, on which tests rely heavily. Bear changed chandler/Makefile to use Chandler Python for purge target, so system python is no longer required. This also means that purge can be done safely only after install, and won't work at all after clean. Functional tests that do stamping have been temporarily disabled. Performance tests that do stamping haven't been disabled, but they report bogus values until fixed. Reid is working on fixing the functional and performance tests. TestCalView functional test was enabled on Linux (it is now running on all platforms). TestSharing.py was enabled on all platforms. Thanks Dan! I upgraded Pylint to latest version because prior versions could no longer deal with Chandler. A handful of issues (including a crash in PyICU) were found and fixed. There are lots of small issues but no other major issues were found. infrastructure -------------- There was an svn outage 4/27 caused by a loose cable. QA -- Mikeal posted an automated tests todo list: http://wiki.osafoundation.org/bin/view/Projects/ChandlerAutomatedTestToDoList Sheila started a thread about dogfood performance scenarios on design list, and I responded with current status of where we stand with the current tests, what we need to do, and kind of data we need to create test data at http://article.gmane.org/gmane.org.osaf.design/4826/ Mimi et. al. are gathering feedback to determine representative data set. -- Heikki Toivonen
