- type "/command x y z": launches "command" with the parameters "x

The plus of course is that it prevents clutter on the screen. The
minus is that it's not super discoverable. I personally think the
plus overcome the minus in this instance but that needs to be
discussed.
Such a list of commands has never been specified or even discussed
but it looks like your "/event" and "/task" could be the first 2 ones.
