Markku,
I downloaded the latest version and it runs fine.
Cheers,

Hello Mimi and Sheila,
Jeffrey has prepared a quick fix that should bypass the problem for
the time being. This fix is now part of the Chandler release
(r10950). Can you please confirm that after downloading a new
version the problem does not persist. If the problem is bypassed,
the best solution is to give bkirsch the opportunity to fix this
one as soon as he comes back from his vacation, which is a week
from now, because he knows that part of code best as he is working
on that, and because he has a mac and I don't. If the problem
persists, I will need to find a mac and personally come to talk to
both of you ASAP.
Cheers,
Markku
On an svn checkout & make install, the share directory is in
chandler/release. On a full build of the app, it's not in the
release subdirectory, and that's why Mimi's (downloaded) app
doesn't work.
I'm not sure whether this should be fixed by packaging the app a
little differently (i.e. putting that directory in
Chandler_XXX.app/Contents/Resources/release), or by tweaking the
i18n code.

There is currently a bug (logged by Mimi on Monday), where the
downloadable version of Chandler doesn't run. Mimi and I are
running the Mac version so I don't know if this is a problem for
all platforms.

I have raised the priority of this bug to P1 and I feel strongly
that we need to be putting aside other stuff to get this fixed.
It's very important that Alpha3 is the top priority and part of
this is to have people downloading the app, testing background
sync, logging bugs etc that affect stability. Jeffrey was able to
comment out some code so I could run Chandler but I download
builds daily, sometimes more frequently and commenting out code
is not a reasonable solution. The comments in the bug implied
that we might not be able to address this bug until next week but
I think we really need to make every attempt to fix it sooner
than that, even perhaps considering removing the problematic code.
