And while we're on the topic:
My (and, apparently other people's: [1]) swap partition stopped
mounting after the upgrade. This is due to some fstab wrangling done to
get ready for the new startup system. The link below has a good guide on
fixing that.
Funny story: eclipse + cosmo + gaim + firefox with about 10 tabs just
about fills up 768M of RAM.

The symlink behind /usr/bin/sh now points to the dash binary instead
of the bash binary so if you have any shell scripts that make use of
bash specific features but that don't have a bash hash-bang line (the
"#!" line at the top) they may start failing.
The fix is to edit the script to use "#! /usr/bin/bash"
