Hey Reid, In your commit for r12293, you asked: The code said that an empty sample text would cause an item's displayName to be used, but instead the text "displayName" was being used. This checkin does not address that behaviour - perhaps it should be looked into? Isn't displayName going away? Since 'a meaningful default' was requested by bug 7292, I've supplied "enter title" The thing that's going away is an underlying mechanism to generically provide names for any repository item. However, the displayName attribute on ContentItem is *not* going away. We still need a dynamic mechanism to provide localized sampleText for the title field ("title" by default, overridden to "subject" for things stamped as mail). ...Bryan
