Hi Mimi,
Okay, so are we saying that Triaging, Adding/Removing Custom
reminders
will always apply to individual occurrences no matter where you are,
Dashboard or Calendar?
Hmm. In the detail view, we only allow n-minutes-before-or-after
reminders. These can apply to any subset of the series, because it's
clear how they relate to recurrence.
Hmmm ... In the detail view we allow "Custom" reminders, too, no?
The reminders created by clicking in the dashboard are "exactly
tomorrow
at 8AM (or today at 5PM)" reminders. Right now these can't be applied
to recurring events, I wonder if perhaps that's OK for preview?
Alternately, I think it would make the most sense for those
"exactly at
8AM" reminders to apply only to that row in the dashboard's
occurrence.
There's also the case of un-reminding a recurring event that
already has
a reminder. I guess it would be most consistent for both adding and
subtracting reminders in the dashboard to only apply to the selected
occurrence, or for both to potentially apply to all.
I'm thinking they should apply to the selected row/occurrence only:
applying to all would be weird when the reminder fired, because it
would be unclear which occurrence it related to.
As a chandler-dev@ aside, it's a bug if calling
occurrenceRemindable.userReminderTime = None
doesn't so the right thing. Which it might currently not :)
