What cases would release without -O catch that debug without -O wouldn't catch? Also, many developers would actually end up running release without -O in the model I am proposing, and what we used to have with do_tests.sh. It seems to me that we would cover all code paths in the model I am proposing (Tbox to run release with -O, debug without -O and some developers additionally running release without -O). -- Heikki Toivonen
